Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JaWiFiZone ("JaWiFiZone", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you use our website at jawifizone.com and our automated rental Wi-Fi management platform (together, the "Service"). We process personal data in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
1. Who this policy covers
The Service is used by two groups, and this policy applies to both:
- Operators — business owners who sign up to sell Wi-Fi vouchers and manage their networks through our dashboard.
- Buyers — end customers who purchase vouchers through an Operator's connect page and receive access codes by SMS.
2. Information we collect
Account information. We offer sign-in through Google only. When you sign in, Google shares your name, email address, and profile identifier with us so we can create and secure your account. We never receive or store your Google password.
Business and payout information. Operators may provide a business name, business logo, contact and support phone numbers, and the payout account details (such as an e-wallet or bank identifier registered with our payment provider) needed to receive earnings.
Buyer information. To deliver a voucher, we collect the buyer's mobile number and process the payment made for that voucher. This number is used to text the access code and for delivery-related support.
Transaction data. Records of voucher sales, subscription payments, payouts, amounts, timestamps, and reference numbers.
Technical data. Basic device, browser, and log information generated automatically when you use the Service, and cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in.
3. How we use information
- Create, authenticate, and secure your account.
- Operate the platform — process voucher sales, deliver access codes by SMS, and display sales analytics to Operators.
- Collect subscription payments and transfer Operator earnings as payouts.
- Provide customer and technical support.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
4. SMS and messaging
Voucher access codes and related delivery messages are sent to buyers by SMS through our messaging provider. Buyer mobile numbers are used solely to deliver the codes the buyer requested and to support that delivery. We do not use buyer numbers for unrelated marketing.
5. Payments
Customer payments and Operator subscription billing are processed by our third-party payment processor (Xendit). Payment card and e-wallet credentials are entered directly with the processor and are not stored on our servers. We receive confirmation of payment status and the transaction metadata needed to run the Service.
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments, and deliver SMS, bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations.
- Operators, who receive the transaction and delivery data relating to sales made through their own connect page.
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for the period required to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute- resolution obligations. When no longer required, information is deleted or anonymized.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may have the right to be informed, and to access, correct, object to the processing of, or request deletion of your personal information, as well as the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Cookies
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service, primarily to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in.
11. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
